M5 A1 Stuart

An absolute bargain of a 1/6 scale tank, OK so it aint the best performer out there, but for value for money it simply cant be beat :O) Went for the Kelly's hero look on this one, as you can see, lots of shifty looking characters on board. Working lights have been added as well as a custom made smoker for the exaust fumes, even a sound sytem which plays the theme tune to Kelly's heroes 'Burning bridges'

Great value for money

Decided to go the whole hog with this one and give it that really lived in look, the stowage probably cost more than the tank itself in the end!

Close-up showing the stowage on the front

Plenty of camping gear!

Holding on for grim life!

I re-painted all the faces on the crew to give them a more realistic look

The driver figure cost a whole £1 from the local market! Didnt have the heart to chop up the more expensive figures! notice the scratch built periscopes, adds a little more interest to the otherwise boring hatches

I think he has some serious issues?

The head honcho! notice the scratch built working search light

Trying to get the racing results?

I am hoping for a world record for the most ammount of crap you can pile on a model tank with this one :OP

The original .30cal stowed away, the one fitted to the mount is the more detailed dragon MG

Can't go anywhere without a bicket now can you?

Another car boot bargain, the bike cost 50p! A quick respray and there you go

The 'fuel stains' are simply brown ink

Better pack a Bazooka!

I have seen a lot of these models with the skirts removed, I decided to be a little different and leave them on!

Heroic pose?

The latest addition, the howitzer is the GI Joe model, unbelievably cheap for what you get! A quick respray, little weathering and it looks the dogs danglers towed behind the Stuart

In its deployed state

This is a little ornament I picked up from the local junk shop, I figure with a little OD paint and a few additions it will make a nice scout motorcycle

Is that an artillery piece in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?
