Panzerzerstorer

A late war variation on the Panther chassis, this Panzerzerstorer (tank destroyer) sported a huge 128mm PAK gun and formidable armour

This was a joint venture between Dave Tootill and me, Dave (a God amongst military modelers) did the conversion whilst little old me simply added a few details, RC'd (yes it's full option) and slung some paint at it!

Altough a commission I figured it deserved it's own gallery :O)

Sort of grows on you

Close up showing the IR equipment

The engine was moved to the front and the armoured citadel was fitted to the Panther chassis

One position you really don't want to be staring down that 128mm from!

Picture showing the rear of the destroyer, as allways Dave did a sterling job of the conversion work!

Briefing was for a light duting of, erm, dust and a little damage to the skirts here n there

Quite a high profile for a destroyer

Topdown view

Close up of the engine deck, the tracks were added to break up a little of the' nothingness' up front

More shots of the IR unit

Ahh, where would the 3rd Reich be without their buckets uh?

Indoors on the the shelf....

uuum, I mean downtow Berlin circa 1945, feel it, feel it...

Original brief was for a 'slightly weathered' version of the Zerstorer, luckily they saw the light and wanted it well shagged :O) (that's a technical term, I swear)

Thankfully the 101st had a little time free and parachuted down from the next shelf to give Fritz a little grief!

Got away by the skin of his teeth, maybe next time American pigs!

Bet he filled the bucket though.......

Needed a little more work on the wheels...

So the 101st obliged again!
