Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV)

I felt I needed some support for the Chally, the chaps were getting bored!

This LAV is based upon the Japanese JGSDF that is currently serving in Iraq, in my opinion it looks a whole lot meaner that the Hummer, a few bottles of Saki, 3 second hand playstation games and the lads got themselves a new vehicle to drive recklessly around the desert :O)

The finished LAV, based around a toy RC JGSDF vehicle

Close up of the front, note the clear areas of screen left by the wipers!

Nice shot showing the LAV in all its glory

Bit cramped in there what with spare ammo boxes, water and the most important biccy's!!!

Always pack well for a picnic

The hardest decision of this build was which colour barrel to use for best contrast, in the end put both on there, doh!

Another shot of the interior of the turret

Get that great lump of metal out of my way you bunch of track-heads!

All in all a very nice 'toy'. Very little additional detail was needed, just little things such as the grenade chains,

And ID panels

Well I suppose there are very few tress, next best is the back wheel!

RULE BRITANNIA!

As you can see the LAV is quite a big vehicle, or is the Chally a small tank?!

Neil took his name quite seriously
