Warlord Titan

This was an old old project (built around '95) it had resided in the shed for over 10 years before being called back to duty. A friend of mine asked if they could display it in the local Games workshop (Wakefield, England) to promote the release of the 'Apocalypse' rules for 40K. A week later and a good working over with the airbrush it was dominating the battlefield! Yes, it was used in the game, it also took most of the battlefield out when it was finally destroyed and the reactor went critical too!

Prize of the night went to the Chaos lord who stood between its legs, threw a vortex grenade at it and MISSED...tit :Op

Anyhow on a lighter note its convinced me to build a whole titan company for the game, oh joy of joys I shall never claw my life back now...

Mr stompy has been through several updates, latest updates are right at the bottom of the page, wwwwwwwaaaayyy down there!

Big bugger, aint it!

All 5' 8" bearing down on the battlefield!

The Orks decide to take it, in typical Orky fashion!

The scout force has already cracked it open with the giant tin opener!

And you thought the Ork Stomper was big?

Titan goes for the goal kick, its this one for the match!

Close up showing showing, erm, closer things

It's a looooong way down

a loooooooooooong looooooooooooong way down

Close up of the head

The damage was actually sustained in the docks on mars with intermittent meteorite strikes causing minor damage to the carapace (OK OK, It got squashed in the shed and I may have shot it a few times with the airsoft guns)

Can this actually be classed as a 'miniature'??

There's gotta be some sort of morale bonus for having stompy on the table, surely?!

Had a couple of spare afternoons to pimp Stompy out a bit

Added lots more detail including the hydraulics on the feet, nuts n bolts, gangplanks and widgets on the hull

Also went over all the edges to give that 'used' look by adding chips and rust spots

Lots of extra detail added to the rear legs an exhausts ports on the body, Cables added to give it that more 'industrial look' basically filling out a few of those blank spaces

Oh, and of course based the big guy, mainly to make him a little more stable on the table...that's a 27 inch diameter base!

Lots of cables added

Everywhere!

even the legs!

Made a quick tube affair to cover those nasty looking wing nuts and, erm, more cables...

Now THAT'S a Volcano cannon!

ladders and gangplank

Also added the tubing below the head to fill it out a little more

By request a few pics showing the orc attackers!

futile but very 'Orky'!

Mr Stompy does what he does best!

Think I finally finished Stompy with the addition of a belt feed to the gatling blaster

Added a few 'spent' shells to the base too

And finally a few kill markings to the head :O)
